Dr. Irene,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My daughter has
been emotionally abused by her husband for l0 years but denied it. I
saw all the signs, my mother was a battered wife and I was an
abused child. Family and friends tried to help her but she kept
denying it. My beautiful daughter became blank and depressed was put
on medication for depression and still thought it was her fault.
He made fun of her when she laughed, smiled, he took her desire away to do
all the things she loved, hike, draw, write poems, love nature etc. etc.
Controlled everything she did. Kept her away from family and
friends, told her how to dress, controlled all the money etc., etc.
I showed her your web site, and now she finally is not denying the abuse.
As of today, she has gone to an attorney. Your web site helped her
more then family & friends. I think seeing everything in
writing and all your wonderful articles has helped more then
anything.
Thank you.
A finally happy Mom

Wow! Guess I'm
doing something right. Thank you for letting me know.
I hope things work
out for your daughter. Maybe now he'll even get the message - and they can
save their marriage.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Irene
